This lovely couple from Brisbane planned an elegant, fun, and meaningful celebration that was filled with laughter, style, and just the right amount of surprise.

Groom Prep with Old Fashioneds and Hidden Nerves

Our coverage began with Rod and his best mate at the luxurious Spicers Clovelly Estate, a short drive from the chapel. The vibe was upbeat and full of laughs, though you could feel a few quiet nerves beneath the surface. After getting ready, the boys headed down to the bar where Rod relaxed with his favourite drink – a perfectly made old fashioned – before heading to the ceremony. It was a stylish and fitting start to what would be a beautifully curated wedding day.

Bride Prep with Elegance and a Touch of Fire

Over at the girls’ room, the tone was calm but full of quiet excitement. Jess was in the final stages of getting ready, and the finishing touches of hair and makeup were underway. As a champion pole dancer and performer, Jess was no stranger to the camera – and it showed. From the moment she stepped into her dress, we created a series of truly striking portraits that blended her elegance, poise, and radiant joy.

There was plenty of laughter with her bridesmaid as well, and those fun pre-ceremony moments added so much warmth and personality to the day.

A Grand Arrival and an Intimate Ceremony

Jess made her arrival at The Chapel Montville in classic style, rolling up in a Bentley that set the tone for the next chapter of the day. The ceremony itself was warm, personal, and deeply intimate – held inside the stone chapel that’s surrounded by views of the lush Sunshine Coast Hinterland. With close friends and family gathered inside the candlelit space, there was a beautiful sense of presence in the room. You could feel that everyone was truly soaking in every second.

Exploring Every Angle at the Chapel

With the ceremony complete and the weather delivering picture-perfect blue skies, we stayed onsite for bridal party and couples’ portraits. From the iconic stonework of the chapel and its dramatic entrance to the gardens and winding drive, we explored every corner of this stunning venue. The bridal party brought the laughs, and the Bentley made a star appearance in several photos, adding a cinematic feel to the entire session.

The sunset gave us a gorgeous wash of soft, warm light – the kind of light every photographer hopes for. The colours rolled across the sky as we captured the last golden rays across the hinterland backdrop.

A Surprise Song and a Final Champagne Shot

The reception was full of high energy and big emotions. With a jam-packed schedule of speeches, dancing, and laughter, the night was in full swing from the get-go. One of the most memorable moments came when Jess surprised everyone – including Rod – by singing an incredible song for him. Her performance left jaws on the floor and added a personal and unforgettable highlight to the evening.

To finish the night, we headed back to the chapel for one last round of night photos. With a bit of champagne and some creative lighting, we wrapped up the story with a series of final images that felt like the perfect exclamation mark on a day full of heart.
